When holidaying in the UK it is always a good idea to have a plan for rainy days. On one such day we went to the Poldark Tin Mine: tin having been mined in Cornwall from around 2000 BC through to nearly the end of the 20th century. The last working tin mine in Cornwall, and Europe, at South Crofty was closed in 1998.
On a tour of the mine.
Some views of some of the machinery on the surface and the cafe!
Sifting for precious stones.
