Holiday in Cornwall – St. Nectan’s Glen –August 2010
After visiting Tintagel we went to the nearby St. Nectan’s Glen. This is a beautiful, though very muddy in places, walk along the Trevillet River valley leading to St. Nectans Kieve and the waterfall. Nearby the waterfall is a tea room which has many pictures posted showing “mysterious orbs” floating in the air; you will see these in the last picture though I don’t think there is anything mysterious about them – I think water droplets (caught by the flash of the camera) would be a more accurate description!

Holiday in Cornwall – Tintagel –August 2010
Off to another 0f my favourite places (the ruins of) Tintagel Castle. We parked just outside the village and took a walk up to St. Materiana’s church which was built around 1080 AD.
From there we walked along the coast to Tintagel Castle.
It’s not advisable to visit the castle if you are nervous of heights as there are some very steep, narrow staircases to climb.
As is normal in Britain you need to be prepared for “changeable” weather – we had bright sunshine and heavy wind and rain all in the space of a few hours.

Holiday in Cornwall – Eden Project –August 2010
The Eden Project, near St Austell, was the newest attraction we visited on this trip – it didn’t exist when we last visited Cornwall. Although it was the middle of the summer holidays and a nice warm day it was not that busy. As well as the plants and biomes there are also other things to do.
The boys started with some rock climbing:
The rainforest biome including a little bit of Malaysia:
The Mediterranean biome:
Some more shots from the gardens outside of the biomes:
