Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – Frimley Beacon – 4th June 2012

In celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year –  60 years on the throne – beacons were lit all over the country and also in Commonwealth and other countries. Our local park – Frimley Recreation Ground – was the nearest beacon to us so we took a walk there and saw the beacon being lit at 10:26pm.

Snow–Frimley Recreation Ground–5th February 2012

Even though we seem to get more snow these days it’s still an event when it does: fun if you don’t have to go anywhere, not so good if you do.

An early start saw me getting these before the kids and their toboggans arrived – only just though as they started arriving from 07:30 am!
