I attended a photography workshop day at Stow Maries World War 1 Aerodrome run by Andy Rouse Photography. Before Andy went full time with his photography we used to work together so it was good to catch up with him.
It was a beautiful, sunny, dry day but unfortunately rather windy which limited the World War 1 vintage aircraft from flying. Still, there were plenty of aircraft to photograph including some radio controlled scale model aeroplanes.
Also present were a BBC film crew who were making a programme on the aerodrome and they were filming a re-enactment group.
To make up for the fact that most of the World War 1 planes/biplanes weren’t able to fly due to the high winds, we were treated to a number of aerobatic displays by Julian Murfitt in his CAP 232.
