Holiday in South Africa – Heathrow Airport – 1st April 2010

Here we are in Terminal 5 of Heathrow airport having checked in for the flight to Johannesburg. There was about an hour’s delay on the flight – nothing too unusual there – and we would have been more than happy with a similar delay on the way back but a volcano in Iceland would have a big impact on our return; we were delayed by 11 days on the way back due to the flight cancellations and subsequent disruptions.
