Official Graduation Photographs – 25th January 2010

The photographs taken by the official photographer prior to the graduation ceremony back in December have finally arrived.

Snow, Snow and More Snow! – 6th to 15th January 2010

Writing this on the 16th January when the snow has all but melted away at the end of a week and a half of major disruption – schools closed, flights cancelled or delayed and very tricky driving conditions on the local roads which were not gritted at all. Still, the boys enjoyed it with many days off school as their teachers were unable to get there.

Skiing in Andorra – 27th December 2009 to 3rd January 2010

Off skiing in between Christmas and the New Year. This year it was near-perfect conditions – not too hot, not too cold and plenty of snow.

                     

The New Year brought a heavy fall of snow – so much  that only 4-wheel drive cars or those with snow chains were allowed up the mountain; others being turned back.

We didn’t have any snow chains that would fit our hire cars so we set off on a search for some.

Eventually we found a garage that had some that would fit – needless to say the weather had improved and the roads had cleared such that we didn’t actually need to use them!

The final day saw the best weather of the whole week – cold but with bright blue skies.
