Our New Kitchen - Day 5

Again, there doesn't appear to be much progress today but the handles are on the units, pelmets for the under wall-unit lighting are done, the cornices on the top of the wall units are in place and the plinths have been cut to size.
Also, the floor has been levelled and prepared for the floor tiling tomorrow.

Our New Kitchen - Day 4

Not a lot obviously different today but the extractor fan and hood is up, the cooker and washing machine connected up and the sink put in place in front of the window.

Our New Kitchen - Day 3

All the units are now in place and the oven installed but not yet connected up. Once the fitter had finished for the day we did the first topcoat of paint on the ceiling.



The "hole" in the corner is where the fridge-freezer will go.

Our New Kitchen - Day 2

The rest of the old kitchen has now been removed and the first base units moved into the kitchen. Not easy to see but we managed to get two coats of sealant onto the new plaster on the ceiling and walls ready for the topcoat.

Here's what it looks like at the end of the first day. 8 spotlights have been put in the ceiling, all the electrical work completed and the ceiling re-plastered to remove the (oh so out of fashion) artexed finish.
